According to a Nashville TV station, the Frist Foundation has donated $1 million to the construction fund for the new Country Music Hall of Fame. The new facility, with a projected cost of $35 million, is expected to open at its new downtown location in the year 2000. The Frist Foundation was launched by the family of the late Dr. Thomas Frist Sr., co-founder of Hospital Corporation of America.
