Oak Ridge Boys Back In Business!

Although the mighty Oak Ridge Boys, one of the music world's all-time popular quartets, has never actually stopped making their authentic brand of 4-part harmony, they are, however recording brand new music. The supergroup recently signed a recording contract with the Nashville-based division of Platinum Entertainment. The Oaks have been selecting songs and reunited with ace producer Ron Chancey for the new disc that's slated for a spring release. It was Chancey who produced the Oaks' first non-gospel album Ya'll Come Back Saloon in 1977. The producer/artist team sparked multimillion record sales in the 1980s. Comprised of members Duane Allen, Joe Bonsall, William Lee Golden and Richard Sterban, the Oaks plan to perform close to 200 shows throughout 1999.
