Paisley Hosting Fishing Tournament

The inaugural Brad Paisley Celebrity Invitational Fishing Tournament takes place Sept. 9 at the Elm Hill Marina on Percy Priest Lake near Nashville. Formerly known as the Hook, Line and Singer Tournament, the event benefits the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. Paisley announced plans for the tournament during a Wednesday (July 16) luncheon in Nashville. Referring to St. Jude’s as “the finest charity in America,” Paisley said, “They not only provide medical attention to the children there, they provide hope and love to them and their families. We have a wonderful opportunity here to do something we enjoy while supporting the work done for all of the children of St. Jude.” Paisley’s third album, Mud on the Tires, will be released Tuesday (July 22). 07/16/03
