Grandpa Jones In Stable Condition

Following Opry Star Grandpa Jones' second show at Saturday evening's Opry performance, the veteran entertainer was rushed to a Nashville hospital. The 84-year-old singer/musician/comedian explained that he felt dizzy after his performance. Opry manager Jerry Strobel reported that the backstage medical staff discovered Jones' blood pressure was high. Jones remains in stable condition while in the hospital's intensive care unit. Jones is perhaps best known for being a Grand Ole Opry regular since 1946, a Hee Haw star, and recording such songs as "Mountain Dew," "Eight More Miles To Louisville" and "Old Rattler."
