Les Paul Visits Nashville

Guitar pioneer Les Paul makes a rare visit to Nashville this weekend for two events held in conjunction with the summer trade show sponsored by NAMM, the International Music Products Association. In addition to developing prototypes for solid body electric guitars in the 1940s, Paul also revolutionized the recording industry with his innovations in multi-track recording. He and his New York-based trio will perform Friday (July 18) at the Ryman Auditorium at the annual All Star Guitar Night concert presented by Nashville guitarist Muriel Anderson. Paul also appears Saturday (July 19) at 2 p.m. at the Country Music Hall of Fame during an event billed as “A Conversation With Les Paul.” 07/17/03
