Wipperman Exits Warner/Chappell

A source at Warner/Chapell Music confirms that Tim Wipperman has been dismissed from his post as executive vice president and executive general manager of the giant music publishing firm. Wipperman announced his separation from the company at a staff meeting Thursday (July 17). Dale Bobo, vice president of A&R (artist and repertoire) for the company, will reportedly take Wipperman’s place. After working for the seminal Nashville music publishers Combine and Cedarwood, Wipperman moved on to helm Warner Bros. Music and remained there after that company merged with Chappell Music. In all, he served more than 28 years under the Warner logo. 07/17/03
