Search for Tammy Continues

The producer, writer and director of the upcoming musical Stand By Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story are looking for not one, but two Tammys. Writer Mark St. Germain, producer Carolyn Rossi Copeland and director Gabriel Barre are holding by-appointment-only auditions in New York on May 15-16 to fill four female roles, including a young Wynette (late teens to mid-20s) and a “mature” Wynette (over 25). Auditions also will be held for five male roles, all of which require musical ability. An open casting call was held in Nashville earlier this month. The show will open Sept. 13 and run through Oct. 28 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
