Reba’s Niece Set for Belmont University Showcase

Autumn McEntire, niece of Reba and daughter of Pake McEntire, is one of three student acts who will perform in Belmont University’s “Best of the Best” showcase April 18 at the Ryman Auditorium. Asleep at the Wheel will headline the event. McEntire will sing country music, while the group Mood Elevator and the solo singer Taylor will perform, respectively, jazz and gospel music. Before enrolling at Belmont, McEntire performed in a family group with her two sisters. She also sang in the Future Farmers of America’s state choir for four years and was the featured vocalist on an FFA album called Vision of Blue, Heart of Gold. In addition to her college studies, McEntire has worked as a songwriter for Starstruck Music, the publishing company Reba McEntire founded. Pake McEntire recorded for RCA Records during the late 1980s. In 1986, he had a No. 3 single, “Savin’ my Love for You.”
