Pride to Receive Hall of Fame Medallion

The Country Music Hall of Fame will present Charley Pride with a medallion commemorating his recent induction. The presentation will take place during a private ceremony on Tuesday (March 13) and is being billed as the first official Hall of Fame event in the Hall's new museum, which opens in May. Robyn Young, son of the late Faron Young, will accept his father's medallion. Metro Nashville Mayor Bill Purcell, Tennessee Governor Don Sundquist and Bill Anderson, Merle Kilgore, Jack Clement and Dwight Yoakam (via video) will take part. Pride and Young joined the Hall of Fame during the Country Music Association awards in October.
