Larry Gatlin will play the lead in Frank Wildhorn’s The Civil War for a second consecutive year. The show played on Broadway in 1999 and received three Tony nominations. Gatlin bowed in his role Wednesday (March 7) at the Masonic Auditorium in Detroit. He’ll stop in 12 additional cities, winding up June 26 — July1 in San Diego. The role marks Gatlin’s fifth lead on the stage. He starred in Will Rogers Follies in 1993.
