Clay Walker Puts Spanish Lessons to Work

Clay Walker’s upcoming album, Say No More, features a cover of “La Bamba” sung in Spanish. “I worked for years learning Spanish,” Walker explains in a news release, “because I wanted to be so correct that when a Latino hears it, he doesn’t go, ‘There’s a gringo.’ When people speak the language, they ought to try to pronounce it right.” Produced by Byron Gallimore, Blake Mevis and Brent Mason, Walker’s seventh album is due in stores March 27. The title track will be the first single and video, which Walker will launch during his appearance on CMT Hit Trip on April 13.
