The Grand Ole Opry’s temporary return to its historic former home has country music fans packing the Ryman Auditorium to its rafters. Last Saturday’s (Jan. 27) early show had just 11 seats left, and the 9:30 p.m. performance had only two. The Opry’s two-month run at the Ryman concludes Feb. 24. The Feb. 10 show will feature Ricky Skaggs and artists from his Grammy-nominated album, Big Mon: The Songs of Bill Monroe, in an all-star salute to the late Opry star. Brad Paisley will become a member of the Opry cast on Feb. 17. Tonight’s (Feb. 3) performance on Grand Ole Opry Live (8 p.m. ET/PT) will feature Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss & Union Station, The Whites and the Peasall Sisters — all artists who contributed to the O Brother, Where Art Thou soundtrack. Shows on Feb. 10 and 17 are sold out.
