McGraw Album Due in April

Tim McGraw's next album, Set This Circus Down, will be in stores April 3, the singer told country.com Monday (Jan. 29). "I can't wait," he says. "Around the first part of March we'll be coming with a new single." The much-anticipated follow-up to the triple-platinum, award-winning A Place in the Sun will include the song "Things Change," which the singer debuted in October at the CMA Awards. McGraw says the packaging for the CD will offer an insider's look at his backstage world through candid photos. The album will be released on Curb Records, despite the singer's displeasure over the label's decision to release a greatest hits package before the studio album. (The greatest hits album has sold 2 million copies and is No. 1 on Billboard's country album chart this week.) Following last year's $49.6 million Soul 2 Soul Tour with wife Faith Hill, McGraw will embark on his own headlining tour this spring to promote Circus. The schedule will include around 45 dates condensed into a six- to eight-week period. McGraw's buddy, Kenny Chesney, may sign on as the support act. "I can't think of anyone, other than my wife, that I'd rather have on the show," McGraw said, "but I just can't imagine going back to the bus and getting in bed with Kenny every night. I mean, he's cute and everything, but he's not my style."
