Charlie Louvin Opening for Cake

Also on the bill are Cheap Trick, the Detroit Cobras and the Hackensaw Brothers. The 76-year-old Louvin first made a name in country music as the junior member of the Louvin Brothers. The Louvins’ impact on music generally will be honored with the tribute album Livin’, Lovin’, Losin’: Songs of the Louvin Brothers, which features such stylists as James Taylor, Alison Krauss, Glen Campbell, Ronnie Dunn, Rhonda Vincent, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, Johnny Cash and Vince Gill. Cake’s tour kicks off Sept. 2 in Atlanta and hits 12 other cities before closing Sept. 20 in Los Angeles. 07/28/03
