Garth Brooks will join Oscar-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg to executive produce Call Me Claus, a TV movie for Turner Network Television (TNT). Goldberg also will star, and Brooks will contribute songs for the holiday film, set for a December 2001 release. The project is a joint venture of Brooks’ Red Strokes Entertainment, Goldberg’s One Ho Productions and Columbia Tri-Star Television. Brooks’ production company has several other projects in the works including a feature film titled The Lamb. The movie’s main character is Chris Gaines, the fictional rock star Brooks brought to life musically on 1999’s Garth Brooks In … The Life of Chris Gaines.
