In recognition of what would have been Elvis Presley's 66th birthday on Monday (Jan. 8), Graceland has arranged for a theatrical screening of the 1970 concert film Elvis, That's the Way It Is. A new, special edition version has been remastered and re-edited to include footage not seen in the original. Three showings have been scheduled Monday (Jan. 8) at the Malco DeSoto Cinema in Southaven, Miss., about 20 minutes from Graceland. Also marking the day is a ceremony on the front lawn of Graceland, where city and county officials will declare Jan. 8 "Elvis Presley Day" in Memphis and Shelby County. Fans will be served birthday cake and coffee.
