Too Much For Tanya?

After recording for Capitol Records for almost 13 years, sultry-singer Tanya Tucker has requested that her record contract be broken, according to a Music City paper. Tucker submitted her request via a letter addressed to Pat Quigley, the Nashville label’s new chief, who moved to town from a New York marketing position. During her time on the Capitol Records roster, Tucker unveiled such hits as “Strong Enough To Bend” and “If It Don’t Come Easy,” as well as celebrated the phenomenal sales success of her album Can’t Run From Yourself. No details are available as to whether Tucker will record again for another record label.
