Today’s hottest country stars will be suiting up for the 9th Annual Wrangler/City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge Sunday, June 13th, at 1 p.m. ET at Nashville’s Greer Stadium, home of the Nashville Sounds. Already scheduled to play are such stars as Neal McCoy, Bryan White, Mark Wills, Lee Ann Womack, Kenny Rogers, Gary Allan, Chely Wright, The Wilkinsons, Ricochet, Montgomery Gentry, T. Graham Brown, and a host of others. WSM and WSIX radio staffers, along with the star-studded lineup, will again be a part of the unofficial kick-off to Fan Fair week. The event has raised over $1 million dollars to support the City of Hope National Medical Center and the Beckman Research Institute in its commitment to prevent and cure cancer and a host of other life-threatening diseases. The proceeds also support the humanitarian efforts of “The Spirit of Life” Endowment Fund for Middle Tennessee who need the quality care and treatment provided by City of Hope. Donations can be sent to: City of Hope at 208 W. 8th Street, Los Angeles, California, 90014, or by phone at 1-800-260-HOPE, ext. 6540.
