Jo Dee Messina will take part in the Lance Armstrong Foundation Ride for the Roses set for Oct. 24-26, in Austin, Texas. She will run the 5K race, ride in the biking event and perform at the post-ride party. Armstrong, a cancer survivor who is a five-time winner of the Tour de France, established the foundation in 1997 to enhance the quality of life for those living with, through and beyond cancer. Messina says, “I have the utmost respect for his drive and tenacity and the fact that he uses his own accomplishments to benefit others. I am so excited about participating in the ride weekend and even more excited to help support those battling cancer." 08/05/03
