Rogers to Receive IEBA Award

Kenny Rogers will receive the International Entertainment Buyers Association’s lifetime achievement award during the organization’s 33rd annual conference set for Oct. 7 at the Hilton Suites in downtown Nashville. Rogers is being honored for his 40 years of touring as a member of the New Christy Minstrels, the First Edition and as a solo artist. In other Rogers news, the singer has been working with the Procter & Gamble Health Sciences Institute to recruit 24,000 frequent heartburn sufferers for a community-based education initiative designed to treat the problem. 08/05/03
