New Daughter From China for Steven Curtis Chapman and Wife

Multiple Grammy Award-winner Steven Curtis Chapman says he is on the verge of a new “wellspring of inspiration.” While accepting the Christian Songwriter of the Year award Thursday (Jan. 27) from American Songwriter magazine, Chapman announced that he and his wife will soon go to China to complete their adoption of a daughter. He said they have named her Shaohannah. The Chapmans already have three children. Country music fans may know Chapman for his song “I Will Not Go Quietly.” It was on the soundtrack album of The Apostle and also made into a music video.
