Twain, Chicks & Brooks Spark Multiple AMA Nominations

The annual American Music Awards are forthcoming and the nominees are in! Singing diva Shania Twain reeled in a whopping five nominations in both the country and pop categories. Twain picked up nods for Country’s Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album for her Come On Over disc; Pop/Rock’s Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album for Come On Over; and Adult Contemporary’s Favorite Artist. The Dixie Chicks received nominations for Favorite Band, Duo or Group and Favorite New Artist in the Country category. Garth Brooks snagged both Country’s Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album (Sevens) nominations. Other Country nominations include: Tim McGraw and George Strait up for Favorite Male Artist; Faith Hill and LeAnn Rimes up for Favorite Female Artist; Alabama and Brooks & Dunn up for Favorite Band, Duo or Group; Strait’s One Step At A Time up for Favorite Album; and The Kinleys and The Wilkinsons up for Favorite New Artist.
