The Dixie Chicks will make their primetime network television debut in November with a one-hour concert special on NBC. Shot during a two-night stand, Aug. 24-25, at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C., the show will include concert footage, a “short comedic film starring the Dixie Chicks” and interviews with the Chicks and their fans. Joel Gallen produced and directed the special. The Dixie Chicks are in the middle of their 90-city North American “Fly” Tour. The trio is nominated for five Country Music Association awards including Entertainer, Album, Group, Music Video and Vocal Event of the Year.
