Gilman Clip Tops Billboard Nominations

Billy Gilman’s “One Voice” has four nominations in voting for the 2000 Billboard Music Video Awards. Directed by Trey Fanjoy, the clip is up for best new artist video in three fields: country, jazz/AC and contemporary Christian. It also is in the running for best video in the contemporary Christian category. Awards will be handed out Nov. 10 at the Universal Hilton in Universal City, Calif. Faith Hill’s “Breathe” is up for Fan.tastic Video, determined by fan voting at Billboard.com. Candidates for best country clip include: Dixie Chicks, “Cowboy Take Me Away”; Dixie Chicks, “Goodbye Earl”; Faith Hill, “Breathe”; Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, “Let’s Make Love”; and Allison Moorer, “Send Down an Angel.” Vying with Gilman for Best New Artist in the country field: Montgomery Gentry, “Daddy Won’t Sell the Farm”; Eric Heatherly, “Swimming in Champagne”; Jamie O’Neal, “There Is No Arizona”; and Keith Urban, “Your Everything.”
