“Murder on Music Row” Makes Opry TV Debut

Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time will perform “Murder on Music Row,” the rousing ode to the demise of traditional country music, tonight on Grand Ole Opry Live. Co-written by Cordle and Larry Shell, the song was recorded as a duet by Alan Jackson and George Strait. The tune is up for Single of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year at the CMA Awards, set for Oct. 4 on CBS, and for Song of the Year at the International Bluegrass Music Awards, Oct. 19 in Louisville, Ky. Hal Ketchum is scheduled to perform “Stay Forever” and “Dreams of Martina.” Opry regulars Jim Ed Brown and Jan Howard share the bill.
