LeAnn Rimes told the Sacramento Bee that she has been fighting the Epstein-Barr virus. “It runs you down, you get fatigued,” Rimes told columnists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith. “It turns out I was working through the main part of it when I should have been in bed.” The singer, who turned 18 last month, canceled a 30-date summer tour last June shortly after her appearance at Fan Fair in Nashville. Doctors originally thought she had only a strained vocal chord. Rimes has since made up some of the concert dates and hopes to make good on the rest at the end of the year. Meanwhile, she is in the studio working on a new album.
