They have long championed the term “hillbilly” as a badge of honor. Now Brooks & Dunn will put the name on their next tour, Brooks & Dunn’s Hillbilly Circus and Wild West Show, kicking off in 2001. “We’re pulling all the stops to make our next tour a kind of carnival atmosphere — with an old west flair,” Ronnie Dunn says in a news release. The debut of the new road show will coincide with release of the pair’s upcoming Arista Records album. Still untitled, the project will be produced by Mark Wright, Dunn and Kix Brooks. The duo competes again for Vocal Duo of the Year at the 34th CMA Awards, Oct. 4.
