Travis, Gill and Black Spice Up King of the Hill

Randy Travis is up a creek, Brooks & Dunn offer love advice and Vince Gill is a preacher on the season finale of King of the Hill. The Emmy-winning animated series is using International Country Music Fan Fair as the setting for its May 21 episode, in which Hank Hill and his family, on a church trip, travel to Nashville for the annual festival. Mayhem ensues when Peggy Hill thinks Travis stole some of her lyrics. Terri Clark is the voice of Travis’ manager, and Gill lends his voice to the character of Assistant Pastor Rayburn. Clint Black, Lisa Hartman Black, Martina McBride, Wynonna and Charlie Daniels also will be voicing caricatures of themselves. The creators of King of the Hill have made a habit of inviting country stars to either play themselves or voice other characters on the Fox TV show. Willie Nelson, Tammy Wynette, the Dixie Chicks and Travis Tritt all have been featured on past installments. The real Fan Fair, produced by the Country Music Association and the Grand Ole Opry, will kick off June 12 at the Nashville Fairgrounds.
