LeAnn Rimes Files Lawsuit Over New Year’s Eve Show

LeAnn Rimes is suing Christine Hazy of Beverly Hills for breach of contract, reports Launch. The singer filed a lawsuit in the Santa Monica, Calif., Superior Court. Hazy agreed to hire the singer to perform at a ball at her home on New Year’s Eve. The contract called for Rimes to perform between 11:30 p.m. and 1 a.m. for a fee of $450,000. A $40,000 deposit was paid to the singer in advance, but Hazy allegedly backed out of the deal a week later.
