The Grand Ole Opry will salute Roy Acuff on Sept. 13, to coincide with the release of a postage stamp featuring Acuff’s likeness. Vince Gill and members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band -- who were championed by Acuff during their original Will the Circle Be Unbroken recordings -- are scheduled to appear on the Opry. Acuff, who died in 1992, would have celebrated his 100th birthday on Sept. 15. 08/19/03
