The Clark Family Experience (“Meanwhile Back at the Ranch”) ended their court battle with Curb Records on Wednesday (Aug. 20). Curb had objected to the six-brother group, now known as Clark, recording for another label. In June 2002, the label filed a motion for summary judgment on the issue of post-bankruptcy injunctive rights but dropped the motion on Wednesday. The group had declared bankruptcy, citing financial mismanagement and unfair recording and publishing contracts. Alan Clark, the lead singer and oldest of the Clarks, said, "It feels great to finally move on with our careers. We started out at a very young age in the music business. My brothers and I have grown a little older and a great deal wiser. The best feeling is to know that now we can concentrate on making music again." 08/21/03
