Travis Tritt had plans to perform in Robinsonville, Miss., Friday night when he received an invitation he couldn’t refuse. Organizers for the George W. Bush/Dick Cheney campaign asked him to make an appearance Friday morning in nearby Bartlett, Tenn., just north of Memphis. Tritt sang a few tunes before Bush’s speech, then hung around to show his support for the Republican ticket. Tritt’s spokesman says the singer has been quite vocal in the past about his GOP leanings. Tritt made it back to Robinsonville in plenty of time for his concert date.
