Charge Dropped Against Tanya Tucker’s Fiance

A misdemeanor domestic violence charge against Tanya Tucker’s fiance, songwriter Jerry Earl Laseter, has been withdrawn, according to a report in The Tennessean. Williamson County General Sessions Judge Lonnie Hoover dropped the charge after Laseter said he had finished an anger management course. The charge stemmed from an incident Nov. 7, 1999, at Tucker’s estate near College Grove, Tenn. Court records show that Laseter pushed her down after an argument, causing her to hit her head on a bed frame, The Tennessean reports. Tucker sustained a bruise and bump on her forehead, but did not report the incident to authorities until the following evening.
