MCA teen artist Alecia Elliott is set to star in her own TV sitcom on NBC. Titled Alecia, the show will center around a girl who moves from Alabama to Chicago and starts a band with her friends. The series is being produced by Peter Engel, the creative force behind hit kids' show Saved By the Bell. Alecia will debut next summer as part of NBC's Saturday morning, teen-related block of shows. Meanwhile, Elliott is looking for songs for the follow-up to her MCA debut, I'm Diggin' It.
