With her current single, “Lovin’ All Night,” climbing the charts, Patty Loveless is also celebrating her nomination in the female vocalist category at this year’s CMA Awards. Other female vocalist nominees include Terri Clark, Alison Krauss, Martina McBride and Dolly Parton. Loveless says, “I’m thrilled to be nominated among such a great group of truly gifted and talented women. I’m especially excited about being nominated with my friends, Dolly and Alison. Dolly has been a mentor of mine for many years, so it is a great honor to be considered alongside her. I can’t say enough about the talents of Alison Krauss. She and I toured together on the Down From the Mountain tour, which was definitely a highlight of my career. It’s wonderful to see such a diverse group of artists recognized by the CMA this year.” This is Loveless’ eighth nomination in that category and her first since 1998. She won in 1996.
