CMA Honors Brooks, Chicks

Kix Brooks, of Brooks & Dunn, has been named the Country Music Association (CMA) Board president. Brooks is the first artist since Tex Ritter in 1965 to be elected to the position. In addition, the Dixie Chicks have been awarded the CMA International Artist Achievement Award, recognizing outstanding achievement by an artist who contributes to the awareness and development of country music outside North America. 11/11/03
