Brooks & Dunn Rock the Barn

Ronnie Dunn added rubber boots to his stage wardrobe Tuesday night (Nov. 18) at the third annual Rock the Barn charity event. Dunn and his wife, Janine, hosted the party under a tent next to the barn in their backyard, and the rainy day left quite a bit of mud for guests to sidestep. The Cajun-themed fete still proved a rousing success, featuring sets by Brooks & Dunn, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Lonestar, Rascal Flatts, Terri Clark, Roxie Dean and J.D. Souther. Cledus T. Judd served as emcee, and Kix Brooks handled the live auction of celebrity items—including framed hand-written lyrics to “Red Dirt Road” that went for $4,500. Event organizers included Donna Hilley, president and CEO of Sony/ATV Publishing, and Connie Bradley, senior vice president of ASCAP. The money was earmarked for Gilda’s Club Nashville, which provides free support for cancer patients and their families. 11/19/03
