Warner Bros. Label Sold

Time Warner has sold its music division — including Warner Bros. Nashville — to an investment group led by Edgar Bronfman Jr. The deal was announced Monday (Nov. 24), shortly after EMI Group PLC withdrew its offer to purchases the music entities. The purchase includes the Warner Bros., Atlantic and Elektra labels, as well as the Warner/Chappell publishing company. As the former chairman of Seagram, Bronfman once owned Universal Music. Warner Bros. Nashville’s artists include Faith Hill, Blake Shelton, Trick Pony and Rick Trevino. 11/24/03
