Wills’ Single Tops Radio & Records List

Mark Wills hit a career milestone this week when his hit, “19 Something,” was named Radio & Records’ most-played country single of the year. The music trade publication also gave Toby Keith its “MVP award” and named him the top male airplay artist for the second consecutive year. Top female airplay honors went to Shania Twain, with Rascal Flatts edging out the competition in the group/duo category. Fueled by the success of his debut single, “Stay Gone,” newcomer Jimmy Wayne was named R&R’s most-played new country artist of 2003. 12/11/03
