Chambers Named CMA’s Global Country Artist

Australian singer-songwriter Kasey Chambers has been awarded the 2004 Global Country Artist Award from the Country Music Association (CMA) in Nashville. Chambers’ music video “Not Pretty Enough” received significant airplay on CMT in 2002, and she is a multi-platinum act in Australia with her two albums, The Captain and Barricades & Brickwalls. The CMA also recognized the accomplishments of two fellow Australians, country music advocate Meryl Gross and longtime country star Slim Dusty, with international awards.
