CMA Awards Set for Nov. 9

The Country Music Association will hand out its awards on Tuesday, Nov. 9, moving from its regular Wednesday time slot. CMA executive director Ed Benson cites a larger number of households watching TV on Tuesdays and an extra day of sales figures as the reasons for the change. The 2004 ceremony will take place in Nashville, but the CMA has not yet announced whether the 2005 show will take place in New York City. The presidential election will be held a week earlier on Nov. 2.
