CMT Viewers Select the Finalists for the 'CMT 2004 Flame Worthy Video Music Awards'

CMT viewers have selected the finalists for the CMT 2004 Flame Worthy Video Music Awards, country music's only fan-voted awards show. Wednesday (March 24), country star Sara Evans announced the finalists for eight of the nine viewer-voted categories. Voting is now open again for fans to vote online at CMT.com through Sunday, April 18 to determine the Flame Worthy winners in each category.

The winners will be announced live from Nashville at the CMT 2004 Flame Worthy Video Music Awards on Wednesday, April 21 beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CMT. Hosted by the legendary Dolly Parton, the annual awards show will feature performances by Parton, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Sheryl Crow, Toby Keith, Martina McBride, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts. The final four nominees for the Flame Worthy video of the year will be announced at the beginning of the telecast, so viewers at home can log on to CMT.com and vote for their favorite video. The winner will be announced during the show.

The CMT 2003 Flame Worthy Video Music Awards premiere is the highest rated telecast in CMT history among viewers ages 18--49. On the 2003 premiere date, more than 8.3 million viewers watched the live awards show and related Flame Worthy programs.
