CMT Insider, a new program centering on the world of popular entertainment, premieres April 9. Produced by CMT News, the 30-minute program emphasizes country music while offering the latest information from the worlds of film, fashion and sports. The premiere episode includes a backstage look at Kenny Chesney’s Guitars, Tiki Bars and a Whole Lotta Love tour, an interview with Dolly Parton about hosting the CMT 2004 Flame Worthy Video Music Awards and a conversation with Dennis Quaid, Billy Bob Thornton and Jason Patric — stars of the new film The Alamo. Terri Clark also serves as special correspondent during Playboy‘s 50th Anniversary Club Tour stop in Nashville. CMT Insider, hosted by Katie Cook, will air each Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT.
