Shania Twain is up for two trophies at the 33rd annual Juno Awards — the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys — taking place Sunday (April 4) in Edmonton, Alberta. Twain’s Up! is nominated for country recording of the year. She is also nominated for the fan choice award in a category that includes Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne, Sarah McLachlan and Nickelback. The other country recording of the year nominees are Terri Clark’s Pain to Kill, Aaron Lines’ Living Out Loud, Doc Walker’s Everyone Aboard and Brad Johner’s Free. Hosted by Alanis Morissette, the show will feature performances by Kathleen Edwards, Barenaked Ladies, Nelly Furtado, Nickelback, Lavigne and McLachlan. Presenters will include Anne Murray, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel and members of the rock band Kiss.
