Lucinda Williams Joins Father at Poetry Reading

Lucinda Williams and her father, poet Miller Williams, will appear together June 4 as part of the Poetry Center of Chicago's reading series. He is the author, editor or translator of 30 books, including 14 volumes of poetry. The inaugural poet for Bill Clinton's second presidential inauguration, his awards include the Amy Lowell Traveling Scholarship in Poetry from Harvard University. Poetry Center executive director Kenneth Clarke said, "Featuring two pivotal American voices, this event emphasizes how poetry and songwriting can influence and illuminate one another."
