Deana Carter has signed with Vanguard Records and is producing a new album for release early next year. Propelled by the success of the single, "Strawberry Wine," Carter's 1996 Capitol Nashville album, Did I Shave My Legs For This?, eventually sold more than 5 million copies. However, sales declined dramatically for her next album -- 1998's Everything's Gonna Be Alright . She moved to Arista Nashville for the 2003 release of I'm Just A Girl.
