New Deal for McCoy, No Deal for Pinmonkey

Neal McCoy has signed to SEA Records, a new independent label in Nashville. He’ll start recording his album next week and expects to release a single this summer. His first album for the label is due in early 2005. McCoy, who scored two No. 1 singles at Atlantic Records, most recently recorded for Warner Bros. Nashville. … In related business news, Pinmonkey has parted ways with BNA Records just weeks after the label released a new single, “Let’s Kill Saturday Night.” The band’s first single, “Barbed Wire and Roses,” reached No. 25 on the Billboard country singles chart in 2002.
