Charley Pride Recovering From Brain Surgery

Charley Pride could be released from a Dallas hospital as early as Tuesday (May 11) after undergoing brain surgery. The emergency procedure was performed Saturday (May 8)
to remove a subdural hematoma, a clot created when blood vessels tear and blood accumulates in the space between the brain and its protective covering within the skull. The Country Music Hall of Fame member is expected to make a full recovery, although he’s expected to be off the road for at least four to six weeks. Pride has cancelled a series of dates, including a 12-day Canadian tour.
