A memorial services for Ray Charles will be held Friday (June 18) at the First African Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Angeles, Calif. Hours before his open casket was to be displayed Thursday (June 17) at the Los Angeles Convention Center, hundreds of mourners had gathered to pay their respects to the music legend who died June 10 of liver disease. Willie Nelson, Glen Campbell, B.B. King, Wynton Marsalis, Stevie Wonder and Billy Preston are among those scheduled to perform at the service that will include comments from Clint Eastwood, Cicely Tyson and the Rev. Jesse Jackson. Following the service, the funeral procession will travel past his recording studio for a one-minute remembrance before making its way to Inglewood Cemetery.
