McEntire’s “Somebody” Breaks Record

Reba McEntire’s “Somebody” has reached No. 1 on the Billboard country airplay chart, breaking a record for the longest span of No. 1 hits by a female country artist. McEntire’s first No. 1 hit came in 1983, with “Can’t Even Get the Blues.” This is her 22nd No. 1 hit. “I am thrilled to have a number one song and I am equally thrilled to call country radio my family,” she says. “I enjoy all the places my career has taken me but country music is and always will be my home.” The song comes from her album Room to Breathe.
